This exotic organic coffee comes from the Junin region of Peru where the highlands and the Amazon jungle are a wonderful sight to behold. Grown at altitudes that range from 3000 -í«Œ 5400 ft above sea level, these Chanchamayo varietals are shade grown. This fair trade coffee is grown under organic practices, hand harvested and wet processed to yield heavy bodied, and mildly acidic coffee beans. Organic Peruvian coffee expreses a characteristic floral and smoky aroma with hints of delicate nutty undertones; they are at their best when brought to a medium roast.
